Allan "Rocky" Lane was one of the top white-hat cowboy stars of the Golden Age of western movies. With his six-shooters and trusty horse "Black Jack," Rocky charged after villains of all sorts, from rough, low-down, dirty bandits to rich, scheming land barons. As a professional who accepted nothing less than perfect in his movies, Lane insisted on doing his own stunts. And at the end of the day, he made charitable, unpublicized visits to children's hospitals.  He was one of the earliest movie industry role models for good old-fashioned American values. 

Even today, nearly 60 years after he made his final western, he remains one of the top 10 classic cowboys, whether he played himself, good guy Red Ryder, or any number of other heroic cowboys. He remains the picture of an American hero: strong, brave, and straight-shootin'.

This 11-DVD set is our complete collection of Allan Rocky Lane, including both Volume 1 and 2, and contains a total of 51 movies that Lane made between 1944 to 1953, including all the movies in which Lane played Red Ryder.
